DISCLAIMER:  the inclusion of this work in my portfolio does not reflect my personal views.

I was asked to design this open for a History Channel documentary.  I wanted to show the intimidating scale of the Nazi war machine of WWII, but I was careful not to glorify it so I decided to mix in flash-frames of atrocities and horror to bring out the ugliness that is described by the show's title.  It was important to the client to have the open focus on the leaders of the Nazi regime, and they wanted the faces to make up the swastika, so I did my best to work that in.

It actually made me a bit nauseous at times to work so closely with some of the more graphic images of the atrocities of the holocaust, but if this program educates younger generations about what could happen if you don't take a stand, then it's all worth it.  This part of history should never repeat.
