History 'Milwaukee Blacksmith' promo titles

I was called upon to art direct yet another show about blacksmiths (not long after I designed Iron & Fire).  The challenge of course was to make this distinctively different.  I explored ideas around the that focused on Milwaukee and it's culture, giving this a more urban feel.

I found a fantastic stock image of an industrial Milwaukee skyline at night that I created some boards with.  It worked perfectly - except when it came time to build the final animations we couldn't find any footage that looked as good.  Plus, I decided I wanted the camera to move forwards during the titles.  So using only that one still image - I created an animated shot that looked like footage.  The real tricky part was animating the water - complete with reflections of the skyline.
