assigned theme: "Inspired by my City"
After winning the New York Cut & Paste tournament, I was eligible to compete in the Global Championship.
This 15 second short animation was created in 8 hours with the assigned theme: "Inspired by my city". I competed against the other winners from many cities around the world. The theme was given to us a week in advance, and we were allowed to use 4 previously made digital assets (stills or video clips) and prepared audio/music, but everything else was made on the spot.
Having just moved to NYC about 6 months prior, I was both ecstatic and terrified to represent this great city as a competitor, and within the content of this theme. I put a lot of thought into the concept for this as it was important to do it justice. I guess it worked.
